Wasatch Crest Shuttle, Inc. (WCS), provides a convenient and reliable shuttle sevice that transports people up and down Big Cottonwood Canyon (BCC), Little Cottonwood Canyon (LCC), and Parley’s Canyon to Park City from any valley location.

WCS operates on a set schedule on EVEN CALENDAR WEEKEND AND HOLIDAYS. Reservations are recommended. Continuing on where the ski busses stop in the summer, WCS will pick passengers up at Mill Creek Park on Wasatch Boulevard (approximately 3790 South) and take them to the top of BCC. Service to Park City on those days will be limited to after 5:30 PM. The other days of the week WCS operates on a for-hire system—all you have to do is call or email to make the proper arrangements. That means WCS will pick you up wherever and whenever you want.

WCS, in providing this service, believes it is meeting a demand when one has not yet been realized. According to the National Forest Service, Wasatch-Cache National Forest: Visitors to the Tri-Canyon areawill make increasing use of mass transit to reduce the congestion on the highways, and mass transit opportunities will expand to include year-round operations (Revised Forest Plan Wasatch-Cache National Forest, February 2003, 4-162). Also, Solitude Ski Area’s Master Development Plan states that traffic counts from 1990 to 1995 in BCC show that during weekends, holidays, and the peak of fall foliage, the number of vehicles traveling SR 190 is similar to that of peak winter uses (1.9.1.3).

With fuel prices expected to exceed $3 per gallon, WCS hopes to reduce that burden of many families who want to have fun in the Wasatch while reducing the number of cars in the canyons.
